Personal Statement
I am a public health physician and epidemiologist with over 20 years of experience in tuberculosis research, program implementation, and policy engagement across India and globally. Currently serving as Director of ICMR–NIRT, I focus on generating high-quality evidence to inform TB elimination strategies. My work spans operational research, health systems strengthening, and capacity building in low- and middle-income countries. I have collaborated with global institutions including WHO and the Stop TB Partnership, contributing to research, policy, and implementation frameworks. I am committed to advancing evidence-based public health solutions that are scalable, equitable, and impactful.
