Dr. Srinath Satyanarayana receives Dr. D. Umapathy Rao Memorial Oration Award 2026

Dr. Srinath Satyanarayana, Director, ICMR–National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis (ICMR-NIRT), received the prestigious Dr. D. Umapathy Rao Memorial Oration Award 2026 at the 4th Telangana State Pulmonology Conference, held on 12th July 2026 at the Deccan College of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad.
During the conference, organized by the Tuberculosis Association of Telangana, he delivered the memorial oration on "Public Health Priorities for TB Elimination in India," highlighting key priorities for accelerating TB elimination through early diagnosis, prevention, and research. The award recognizes his outstanding contributions to tuberculosis research, policy, and public health.
