PROJECT

Gold Standard Datasets on Tuberculosis with Radiological Images

August 2024 - July 2027

Objectives:

To develop a Gold Standard Dataset that serves as an authoritative ground-truth resource for research, evaluation, and validation, ensuring high standards of accuracy, reliability, consistency, and trustworthiness.

Study Overview:

Need for standardised, clinically validated, and programme-aligned datasets capable of supporting responsible AI innovation and to address this need through the establishment of the Gold Standard Dataset-Tuberculosis (GSD-TB) framework supporting the Medical Imaging and Information Datasets. Gold Standard Dataset for Tuberculosis (GSD-TB): Variable Framework Development in Technical Guidance Documents on Gold Standard Data and its Utilization through Artificial Intelligence in Tuberculosis

Study Approach:

Standardize tuberculosis data collection across clinical care, surveillance systems, research studies, registries, and digital health platforms to improve data quality, consistency, and interoperability

Expected Public Health Impact:

The aim is to support clinical decision-making, public health surveillance, and research by capturing comprehensive information on patient characteristics, risk factors, diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes throughout the TB care continuum.
