Disease classification by least square support vector machines.

Abstract: Medical diagnosis of a disease becomes a important step in the medical field. To cater the requirements, there is a need of development of new classifier systems. These classifiers help the experts to make decision. Data driven and model free methods are more suitable in this case, Support Vector Machine (SVM) approach is one of the promising way. In this paper we present a least squares version of SVM for classification. The approach is illustrated using clinical trial problem.
