Dr Soumya Swaminathan, Director, NIRT receiving the SIDCER / FERCAP Recognition plaque from Dr Vasantha Muthusamy, Vice-Chair, NIRT IEC; and the NIRT IEC Team

National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis Institutional Ethics Committee (NIRT IEC), under the chairmanship of Dr Jacob Abraham, undertook the SIDCER / FERCAP Recognition Programme during the latter half of 2013. Subsequent to training of NIRT IEC, the survey was conducted between 29th September and 2nd October 2013, and finally, on 20th November 2013, NIRT IEC received the recognition. Dr Vasantha Muthuswamy, vice-chair, NIRT IEC and president, FERCI received the plaque of recognition at Bali, Indonesia.
